- Please stay off of the newly seeded fields and areas – especially not with a horse!!!
- Halloween Bash is October 19th at 4pm! Costume contest, chili cook off, cornbread showdown! Reserve a horse with office if needed.
- Since everyone is loving the trail rides, we’re going to try one with a little added spice – a Poker Ride!
If you’re not sure exactly what that is, you’re not alone! We had to look it up, but it sounds like a lot of fun. Here’s the lowdown: Checkpoints are set up around the trails (there’s a map), and riders have to visit them to draw cards. The general idea is to draw a full poker hand over the course of a planned circuit, and then compare hands at the finish line.
We’ll have a $10 buy in with a 50/50 payout to the winner. You can play multiple hands if you wish.
This is not a timed event. You can enter the trails starting at 2:30, and you must return with your cards by 4:30, at which time a winner will be determined.
After the event, we can have a low-key hang around the firepit if so inclined.

- We have 2 new stores to buy SES merchandise through!!
- As you can see, the field reclamation project has been in full swing! Due to weather and holidays, there will be delays and no work being done – be assured everything is running as planned. We are so excited to see the fields being raised and to get the horses out of the mud! The mixed field is now awaiting grass seed and has to settle for a few months – the gelding field will be worked on shortly!
